Chris heeded the warning, and Gavin let him go. In a brave effort, Chris approached me, bloody and battered. Gavin had only been gone a few seconds, but the urgency still remained. "Run!" Chris said.
I pushed the door open without any regard to being silent. The forest rushed into me at full speed. Branches scratching my arms, rocks kicking up into my shoes, I kept running until i was convinced no one was behind me.

This group, whoever they are, has moved their reign of terror from residential break-ins to a full-time assault against me and my people.

I figure you will do whatever it takes to help your friend find his assailants. And I, too, want to know the identity of these gentlemen. All you have to do is continue your investigation and share whatever information you have with me. If you take on this endeavor for me, I'm willing to make a deal with you. If you succeed, I will consider Gavin and Kyle's debt forgiven. There will no longer be a war by my hand in Settlement Island.

Hello! It is so nice to meet you. Thank you so much for supporting my very first dark romance book series.
